About UoH-TEC
The Technology Enabling Centre (TEC) at the University of Hyderabad was established with the support of DST-India in 2019. UoH-TEC aims to create and augment the Academia-Institute-Industry collaborations to facilitate the research towards societal relevance and benefits. The focus of the UoH-TEC will be on developing an ecosystem to nurture the entrepreneurship culture in the faculty, students within the campus, and the affiliated institutions by building networks, sharing knowledge, and support systems.
The UoH-TEC scouts for converting the creative science of faculty/student’s by evaluating the project proposals at the inception stage and supporting the researchers during potential technology/intellectual property development and the commercialization strategy with the help of industries and institutes. UoH-TEC aimed to increase the awareness among the faculty/students and potential entrepreneurs by organizing seminars, workshops, and success stories of the startups by eminent people in the field. The team with broad experience in research, patenting, and consultancy services promote universities and Industry’s interlinking to complement and align the technology development process and transfer in a mutually beneficial way and ultimately for society. TEC helps showcase the potential technologies developed in the university/institutes to Industry for validation and prototyping.
Being the repository of University research, TEC will be the point of contact for both Industries and entrepreneurs for collaborative projects and solutions.

To be a single point of contact for Academia, Industry, and Entrepreneurs for Innovation, Technology development, and transfer. To promote research and provide technological solutions to the needs of society by networking with academics, MSMEs, and incubators.
Mission
To develop and nurture an ecosystem for the benefit of the scientific and industrial community. To promote the entrepreneurship culture and innovation potential in the faculty, students, and entrepreneurs by building networks, sharing knowledge, and support systems.
Objectives
- Create and augment an ecosystem to build a network between the faculty of UoH and other partner institutes and industrial partners to share the knowledge leading to technology development, transfer, and entrepreneurship.
- Mapping the technology resources available in the University and the needs of the industry to develop and strengthen Industry-Academia partnership
- Creating a platform for innovative research and entrepreneurship through awareness and training programs
- To serve as Advisors and patenting consultancy for IP protection and management services for technology transfer and commercialization.
- Empower academic fraternity, potential entrepreneurs, and startup incubetees on business plan development, financial planning, commercialization, IP regulations, and market understanding through various seminars, workshops, and accelerator programs
